Let us introduce you to And for Love, a Toronto based brand founded in 2014 by long time friends, Angel Spendlove and Lisa Blunt - The brand is as cool as their names (!) paying homage to the cool, independent bride that knows what's she wants discarding all the traditional bridal rules.
The duo's coveted creations illustrate a perfect mix of their backgrounds, with angel’s bachelors degree in architecture and environmental design, and Lisa’s tenure at Jeanne Beckers Canadian fashion magazine “FQ magazine” - The brand is a force to be reckoned with.
We caught up with the Angel and Lisa to find out more about their story.
How and when did And for love get started?
And for love started 8 years ago after we both got married and hated our dresses. We knew there were girls like us out there wanting something fresh, fashion-forward and fun.
What is the best thing about working with a friend? And what is the worst?!
We are pretty much married to each other in the best possible way! The best thing about working with a friend is that you can bounce ideas off each other. I don't think there is a worst thing - we've both often said that we couldnt - and wouldnt - want to do this without each other.

What kind of bride is an AFL bride?
She’s cool, confident, fashion-forward and low maintenance. She has never dreamt of being a princess for the day, but rather, has dreamt of a fun celebration with her friends and family and doing everything her own way.
On one of their real brides, and for Love said - Kenzie and Jo (featured above) got married two years before their celebration in Toronto, which proves in this day and age, there are zero rules when it comes to weddings. An intimate ceremony at Trinity Bellwoods Park took place after an epic photo shoot from the talented Ash Photography Services ( who we absolutely love by the way!) &FL bride Kenzie chose our glittering sequin BROOKLYN 2.0 gown and paired it with a super cool pair of white cowboy boots and a cool and a gothic inspired crown. With her Cool AF groom in a wild black and white suit and some killer kicks, this cooler than life couple shows you can do whatever the f*ck you want! #bridalbutmakeitfashion

Do you have a favourite gown? Collection? And why?

Conjuring images of hot summer nights, tropical breezes and exotic plants, our latest gowns combine romantic and airy silhouettes with a dash of 90’s glam and touch of rock’n’roll
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
Every season we have a muse - whether it's a person, a book, a film or a vibe.... it fully depends on our mood and what we are into at the moment.
Any pearls of wisdom you can offer to brides at this time and in the future?
Don’t focus on the small stuff. Remember the bigger picture of your wedding, and most importantly, what you want from your marriage.
