Ibiza meets India for Holli & Hardeep

Holli wore 3 amazing gowns

Having 1 dress is a fairy tale for most brides so when we found out Holli had 3, we needed to know more! Holli's background as a designer at Topshop gave her the creativity and guts to design some of her own bridal wear.

Tell us more about yourself Holli!

I’m originally from the Lake District, so I have a huge love of the outdoors, being at one with nature and appreciating the simpler life in contrast to my fast paced London lifestyle. I’m an Aquarius, as too is my Husband, being free spirited is at the heart of us, we love to travel and are big foodies, we are both continuously inspired and high on life together.

It's a dream for a bride to have 1 amazing gown, you had 3! What was that like?

I felt so fortunate to have the opportunity to wear 3 outfits across both days, and felt especially lucky to have the Indian wedding day following the Catholic. The first day went so quickly so it meant we had more time to celebrate.

The Yolan Cris dress was my first at the Catholic ceremony, it had beautiful cutwork and embroidery over lace and my favourite part, what sold it instantly was the dramatic, long fringing across the bodice and back. It felt like the perfect dress for the Cathedral in Ibiza. I teamed this with a matching fringed silk pouch bag, designed by myself.

My Evening Slip was designed by Nikeen Asar, it was finished off with an embellished and fringed cape, designed my me.The slip, with its beautiful plunging back and barely there straps had an ease and nonchalance to it and allowed me to dance the night away under the Ibizan starry night (editors note...dreamy!!). The fringed cape, embodied the essence of my first dress with dramatic fringing and my Indian outfit with the heavily techniqued cape top.

The Indian co-ord which I designed together with my extremely talented friend and embellisher Hannah, was the perfect bridge between East and West. The silhouette was designed with a modern aesthetic in mind, a fluid fishtail skirt shape with an elongated train and fitted long sleeve bodice, which felt perfect for my body shape. The embellishment was all designed based on traditional Indian craftmanship and technique, the colours were an ethereal and romantic palette of blushes and champagne gold, my favourite combination. I fell in love with the magpie effect of sparkle and intricate embellishment on this co-ord.
