The Bride Boutique has been helping brides find “the dress” since 2006. Our luxury boutique is housed in a listed building, in St Albans, Hertfordshire, located directly opposite the stunning cathedral.
We are passionate about design and refuse to compromise on quality. We work with award winning British designers and our collection includes dresses, two pieces, veils, hair accessories and jewellery.

Our team is made up of bridal consultants and an inhouse seamstress who have over 45 years combined experience in the boutique. We are all passionate about working with brides, ensuring that their journey of finding “the dress” is as special as possible

St Albans is such a beautiful place with so many things to see and do, so if you are making a visit be sure to take advantage and visit us for the day! We are located very near to the M1 and M25 and it is only a short train journey from Kings Cross in London. Once you have enjoyed your day you can be back in the 'big smoke' within 30 minutes.
Parking in the city centre can be a little troublesome however we do have a number of multi storey car parks within easy reach
We are passionate about our customer service and making sure our brides have the best possible experience . At the time of booking, we take time to get to know the bride a little over the phone or email, and help her to understand which designers we work with. We openly discuss with her the range of costs for our designer dresses and also talk through the option of an ex-display sample dress if this seems more appropriate in terms of their price range or timescales. We like to ensure that when a bride steps through the door for her first visit, there are no surprises. When in the boutique, we will have a conversation about what the bride is looking for and begin to select dresses from our collection. During the appointment, the bride has a dedicated bridal consultant giving them her sole focus for the entire two hours during the week, or 90 minutes on a Saturday. For our Saturday, and late-night Thursday appointments, we take a small fee of £30 at the time of booking and this is fully redeemable against any purchase in store including dresses, veils, belts, jewellery and hair accessories.

We have an in-house workroom and all alterations are made by our talented seamstress, Rani. With 20 years of experience in bridal alterations, 11 of them being part of our team, Rani is integral to a brides dress journey with us. Brides work with us and Rani throughout their journey for measurements, toile fittings and dress fittings. It's wonderful to see a slightly apprehensive bride relax under Rani's calming influence, realising they're in the hands of a true professional who will do everything to help her feel the very best version of herself.
Our service ensures that every detail of the fit is perfect and tailored to individual requirements, which is something we really do take pride in. Through experience of measuring, fitting and altering hundreds of toiles and dresses over the years, we're confident in calling ourselves fitting specialists.
We work with Hermione Harbutt and Miss Clemmie – both leading artisan British designers. We carry a range of hairpieces, hair pins, earrings and necklaces.
Our veils are from Joyce Jackson and can be ordered in many different styles, lengths and trimmings.
