As the original indie bridal shop, established in 2010, Lovely redefined the wedding dress shopping experience by being the first to stock undiscovered designers who offer the freshest bridal fashion. Original designs by ingenious designers is still our M.O. today, because we think you deserve the real deal.
Lovely celebrates body positivity and self-love. We work hard to choose innovative wedding dress designs in an inclusive size range. We believe in transparency, empowerment, and women supporting women. We are a community, #ourlovelies.
Visit by appointment only. Bridal Appointments are 75 minutes in length. A £25 appointment fee applies for weekday appointments and £35 for weekends. We kindly ask that you cancel or reschedule more than 72 hours in advance in order to be refunded your appointment fee. We dedicate a stylist to finding you a gown, so bring your friends & family and be ready to find the one!
For a stress-free timeline, plan on ordering your dress 9 to 12 months prior to your wedding date. Dresses are made to order, and can take up to 5 to 7 months to produce, plus 2 to 3 months for tailoring. There are rush options for weddings under 6 months, but rush fees do apply and vary based on designer and timeline.
It is helpful to bring nude undergarments, such as stick on cups and Spanx. Also bring heels of a height that you will wear for your wedding so you can get the complete picture when dress shopping.
We do our best to accommodate as many beautiful body types as possible with our sample dresses. The majority of our samples are sizes UK 10-12 and we also have a selection of sample gowns in sizes UK 16-22.

We like to order the dress as close to your current size as possible, but all bridal gowns need alterations to give it a perfect fit for your wedding day. Before picking up your gown, we suggest you contact a tailor to schedule your appointment to start the fitting process. We recommend Bride & Alter in London. We recommend starting your alterations two months prior to the wedding date, so make sure to add this time onto the 5 to 7 months for gown production.
