Belle Atelier is a heritage custom design studio founded in NYC by Giselle Ghofrani the daughter of Chicago's favorite alteration studio The Dress Doctor. Belle specializes in creating the ultimate gown for your wedding day or others in your party. We also carry a curated collection of designers who specialize in customizations or are in the high-end luxury market. Belle is for anyone who is looking to be part of their entire gown creation process, from silhouette to final touches like lace appliqué or embroidery design. Because of Giselle’s experience and connections in New York, we have the ability to provide you with the best pattern-makers, seamstresses, and materials in the industry.

***NOW OFFERING VIRTUAL CONSULTATIONS AND AT HOME TRY ON***
At Belle we provide a very intimate appointment experience with two types of bubbles, small sweets and at least an hour with your stylist. You can request to work with the owner Giselle for a small fee. All other standard appointments are complimentary. The entire store is yours, all pieces are out for you to see and try on, including veils and accessories, and we recommend taking lots of photos!

We provide alterations on all of our pieces for a fee ranging from $650-950 depending on gown choice and if there are any promotions. The fee can be quoted at time of purchase and can be paid in advance.

Giselle is the owner and founder of Belle. Born into the world of fashion she worked alongside her mother (The Dress Doctor) from a young age learning the art of sewing and pattern-making. As she grew older she held positions in design houses like Vera Wang, Marchesa, and J.Mendel. She decided while at J.Mendel to start her own custom design studio which led her to launch a bridal boutique in Chicago where she carries customizable designers and is honored to carry J.Mendel as well.
